Job hunt gets harder

The growing supply of willing workers is far outpacing the demand for them, as the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show. Two new analyses by economist Heidi Shierholz today, an Economic Policy Institute Snapshot and a more detailed Issue Brief, reveal that there are now 2.6 unemployed workers for every job opening – up significantly over the past year-and-a-half.
