U.S. Jobs Lost Due to Wal-Mart’s Chinese Imports

Wal-Mart’s reliance on Chinese imports comes with costs for the United States. In today’s Snapshot, senior economist Robert Scott examines how trade flows between Wal-Mart and China displaced nearly 200,000 U.S. jobs between 2001 and 2006, when the retail giant accounted for 11% of the growth of the total U.S. trade deficit with China.
