On Thursday, February 19 at 12:00 p.m. Eastern, senior Economic Policy Institute economist Elise Gould will join a press conference call to discuss her latest analysis of wage trends in 2014.
In the study, Gould examines hourly wages by wage percentile, education level, gender, and race and ethnicity, showing that wage stagnation is a broad-based trend and not limited to low-income workers. Among other topics, Gould will discuss the impact of recent minimum wage increases, the role of a so-called “skills gap” in wage stagnation, and the implications for Federal Reserve policy.
