The fate of the Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) in Costa Rica will be decided in an unprecedented popular referendum in October. This event, co-sponsored by the Global Policy Network, Oxfam America and the Carnegie Endowment for Peace, was held at the Economic Policy Institute in Washington, DC.
