As the Senate joins state and local governments debating whether to raise the minimum wage, the AFL-CIO will host a briefing on how proposed legislation will benefit working women across America, particularly single parents and women of color. EPI’s Elise Gould will speak at an AFL-CIO briefing on how proposed minimum wage legislation will benefit working women across America, particularly single parents and women of color. The briefing on April 3rd at 10:00 am will provide insight into ongoing disparities between men and women in pay and likelihood of working in low wage industries or as tipped workers.
